Childhood USA's Highlights from World Economic Forum 2017

Our President & CEO, Dr. Joanna Rubinstein, was last week in Davos at the World Economic Forum 2017.

As a Board member of the Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children, on January 18th, Joanna moderated a breakfast session on "The Unique Role that Business Can Play in Ending Violence Against Children." This Breakfast Meeting with the Executive Director of UNICEF, Anthony Lake, was co-hosted by the End Violence Against Children Partnership, Government of Sweden, UN Foundation, Ericsson, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Telia Group, and Zain (some of the most important private sector partners of Childhood) and discussed the importance of engaging the private sector in achieving the Sustainable Development Goal 16.2 ("End abuse, exploitation, trafficking and all forms of violence and torture against children." by 2030).

Following the breakfast, for SDGLive Joanna interviewed Per Heggenes, the CEO of IKEA Foundation, and Susan Bissell, the Executive Director of the Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children. Scroll down to listen to the interview!
