Day 1
Fly into Ivato International Airport (TNR) in Antananarivo. Flights are not included as part of this lot. There are no Visa requirements ahead of time; Visas are provided upon arrival at TNR.
Private car transfer to hotel: Maison Galliéni, Antananarivo for a 2 night stay (3 rooms, sleeping 6 total) Breakfast is included daily.
Day 2
Visit the atelier of industry-darling Eric Raisina, a Malagasy-born textile artist and fashion designer who has worked with Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Lacroix. You will have a private fitting for your bespoke raffia gown in Antananarivo that will be flown anywhere in the world upon completion. Anne Bass and Angelina Jolie have worn his pieces and now you can add it to your wardrobe collection too! This is surely a walking piece of art! Transportation to and from Eric’s atelier is included.
Your hosts will also arrange a lovely City Tour with classic cars.
Day 3
Car transfer to the private concession Ecovision Village in Andasibe, a 2,500-acre primary forest, one of the last in Madagascar, with eight (8) species of lemurs and many other native animals. Here you will be greeted by the internationally recognized National Geographic Photographer, artist and filmmaker, Mattias Klum. For the next few days, he will accompany you as you discover this mesmerizing landscape and not least the lemurs of Madagascar. If you are into photography, you are in for a treat. Mattias will be there to help you get better shots.
A primary forest is a forest that has not been significantly disturbed by human activity and is made up of native species that have regenerated naturally.
Your 2-night stay (3 lodges, sleeping 6 total), including full board, in this village cannot be reserved via any other channels; this is an experience that has been arranged especially for World Childhood Foundation USA friends. Private accommodation for Mattias Klum has been arranged.
Day 4
Second day of the lemur safari at Ecovision Village.
Day 5 – 12
Enjoy a private flight to Voaara for a one-week stay (7 nights) in the 3-bedroom beach pool villa.
Voaara is Madagascar’s newest barefoot luxury resort, named as one of 15 must-visit places in 2025 by London’s The Times magazine.
There are no age restrictions for children, and all food and non-alcoholic beverages are included in your stay.
Excursions will be included in your trip based on the time of year you visit. June to September is the famous humpback whale mating and migration season, so a whale-watching charter would be included for your visit during these months. Mattias Klum would accompany your party to Voaara for whale watching, if you stay June-September. October also features spectacular weather.
Day 12
Private flight to Ivato International Airport (TNR) in Antananarivo for your return flight home. (Private travel for this trip is estimated at $12,000.)
Restrictions:
Trip must take place before November 15, 2026. Black out dates include the weeks surrounding Christmas and New Year’s Day each year. Gratuities are not included at any location and are up to the discretion of the visitors.
