Empowering the whole community of Bedford Stuyvesant to write their own child protection story and equipping them to create a happy ending.
According to data from the Brooklyn Child Advocacy Center, in FY 2021 Bedford-Stuyvesant reports 36% of reported cases are child sexual abuse (CSA). CSA remains a taboo topic and highly stigmatized within many communities.
We are using a collaborative and strengths-based approach to create a culture of child protection the community
Co-create a culturally relevant, comprehensive, resident-led CSA prevention program within the Bed-Stuy community
Ways You Can Participate!
We invite all Bed-Stuy residents to partake in a 10 minute community health survey to amplify your voices and begin preventing CSA in our neighborhood today. By participating, you’ll have a chance to win a $25 gift card!
