The project is working with children who are living in the segregated Roma settlement of Kirtimai. Through after-school activities – including handicraft, children’s rights courses and social skills training – the children are encouraged to attend school more regularly, become part of the school community, and to help break the stigma surrounding Roma people.

Family Support Programme

Project: Family Support Programme
Location: Vilnius, Lithuania
Target group: Children in alternative care
Most children living in orphanages in Lithuania have one or two parents who are alive. The Family Support Programme promotes healthy relationships between parents and children who are living in Atsigrezk’s orphanage. Children and parents take part in games, art workshops and seminars. Parents also receive social and psychological consultations, home visits and training in positive parenting.
