The project is supporting street children/youth, migrant children and their parents detained in Government shelters. Friends International undertakes street- and community based outreach services and provides education, information, skills training and prepares repatriation and reintegration into families, education and society.

Chiang Khong is situated on the border to Laos and the border crossing is a hub for human trafficking. The project targets children at risk of human trafficking and other forms of exploitation. DEPDC strives to o identify and reduce each child´s profile of risk factors for exploitation through family based assistance or residential services.

House of Hope 2 in BanPhaKwee

Project: House of Hope 2 in BanPhaKwee
Location: Chiang Mai Province, Thailand
Target group: Families at risk
At the House of Hope, children from the Red Lahu minority in the village BanPhaKwee on the border to Burma are provided with care, nutritious meals and education in Thai language and hygiene. The aim is to help children get access to governmental school since school is a key protection factor for children at risk.

Location: San Sai, Chiang Mai Province, Thailand

House of Hope was established as an after school activity to enable children from non-Thai speaking minorities to stay in school since school is a key protection factor for children at risk. House of Hope offers children assistance with homework, Thai classes, hot meals and different hobby activities.
